A fruit with a short season, fresh cranberries are harvested between Labor Day and Halloween and appear in markets from October through December.
Did you know you can freeze the fresh Cranberries just the way they are? Transfer into a zip lock bag or a container and into the freezer. Done!
Cranberry Sauce:
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup of brown sugar
grated zest of an orange
Put all ingredients in a large sauce panand bring to a boil. Let boil until berries start to pop (about 3 minutes). Stir as they cook. Let cool.
